Reveal your natural radiance

Forever Institut offers you a complete range of latest-generation laser treatments at Geneva, Lausanne and Nyon. Our medical centre combines innovative technologies and dermatological expertise to effectively target your skin concerns: wrinkles, pigmentation spots, redness, acne or sagging skin.

What is medical laser treatment?

The laser treatment represent a major advance in aesthetic medicine. These treatments help us to treat problems by targeting the cells responsible, for example, for pigmentation or hair production. Unlike traditional cosmetic treatments, medical lasers penetrate deep into the different layers of the skin to stimulate natural cell regeneration.

At Forever Institut, we only use certified medical devices, handled by trained professionals. Each session is tailored to your skin type, your aesthetic goals and your constraints. Whether you want to eliminate stubborn pigmentation, firm up your face or treat persistent acne, our laser technologies offer effective and safe solutions, with lasting effects over time.

Modern laser treatments are distinguished by their versatility. Depending on the settings, the same device can treat different problems: from overall rejuvenation with the Fotona Erbium:Yag to targeted anti-dark spot sessions with our Picosure rejuvenation laser. This flexibility means that each session can be tailored precisely to your changing needs.

Our laser treatments and other devices: for whom and why?

Treat the signs of ageing naturally and age better“

The signs of skin ageing include wrinkles, sagging, loss of luminosity (dull complexion) and pigmentation spots. Our anti-ageing laser treatments, in particular the’Ulthera® (from CHF 1,200) offer a non-surgical lifting effect thanks to focused ultrasound. This technology stimulates deep collagen production for a gradual, natural result over several months.

Le Fotona (from CHF 600) - available at Forever Institut Nyon - uses the new generation of Erbium:Yag for an overall rejuvenation of the face. This laser session divides the treatment into micro-zones, allowing rapid recovery while targeting wrinkles, uneven texture and dilated pores.

Le PlexR (from CHF 600) creates coagulation points and offers results similar to medical blepharoplasty, to rejuvenate the eyes.

Eliminate pigment imperfections

The dark spots, The sun's rays and age-related skin blemishes can alter the evenness of the complexion. Our anti-stain rejuvenation treatment (from CHF 450) uses picosecond pulsed light to break up clumps of melanin. The pigments are then naturally eliminated by the body, revealing clearer, brighter skin.

Le Lase®® (Baby Face) (from CHF 350), a sub-ablative laser, offers a customisable approach to treating various skin imperfections. This non-ablative fractional laser treatment can also be used for resurfacing; it creates micro-channels that allow active ingredients to penetrate the skin - it is recommended to apply an ampoule of active ingredients depending on the problem being treated - 7 to 10 times better than when applying a topical product. The Baby Face treatment gradually improves skin texture, reduces stretch marks and stimulates the skin's natural radiance.

Reduce redness and rosacea

Rosacea, couperose and diffuse redness affect many people. Our anti-redness treatment (from CHF 990) selectively targets dilated blood vessels to even out skin tone. The VBeam Perfecta® (from CHF 450) completes this approach by treating angiomas and persistent redness with millimetric precision.

Long-lasting acne treatment

L’AviClear® (from CHF 900) represents a major innovation: this unique laser treatment directly targets the sebaceous glands to reduce sebum production. Unlike drug treatments, this approach offers lasting results with no systemic effects. The result is healthier, less oily skin, and less need to apply a multitude of creams at home.

Correct scars and irregularities

Le FRAX (from CHF 990) gradually smoothes out acne scars, stretch marks and skin irregularities using a fractional laser. The Genius (from CHF 550) combines fractional radiofrequency and microneedling to treat sagging while improving deep scarring.

Laser hair removal and tattoo removal

  • Laser hair removal (take advantage of our half-price card to get the best possible prices): long-lasting hair removal on all skin types. Our Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers make it possible to treat all skin phototypes in complete safety.
  • Laser tattoo removal (from CHF 150): gradual removal of tattoos and permanent make-up, thanks to Picosure, a picosecond laser, the safest and most effective of all tattoo removal lasers.

Course of a laser session

1. Initial consultation

Each route begins with a consultation with one of our specialist laser therapists or aesthetic doctors. This assessment enables us to :

  • Analyse your skin and determine the optimum treatment
  • Establish a personalised protocol (number of sessions, spacing)
  • Answer your questions about the procedure and the expected results
  • Check that there are no contraindications and prevent undesirable effects
  • Analyse your product routine and recommend the most appropriate creams to maintain the effects of your treatments.

2. Preparing the skin

Before each session, we carefully clean the area to be treated. Depending on the type of treatment, an anaesthetic cream may be applied 60 minutes beforehand to maximise your comfort. We provide you with special protective eyewear.

3. The treatment

The duration varies according to the area treated: from 15 minutes for a small area to 45-60 minutes for a full facial treatment. You will feel a sensation of heat or slight tingling, which is generally well tolerated. Our team adjusts the parameters in real time to optimise effectiveness while preserving your comfort.

4. Post-treatment care

Immediately after the session, we apply a soothing mask or repair cream. You will receive specific recommendations for the following days: avoid exposure to the sun, apply SPF 50+ protection and use specific moisturisers. In the event of an inflammatory reaction, we can prescribe soothing medication.

Results and duration of effects

Results vary according to the type of laser treatment chosen. For anti-spot and anti-redness treatments, the first improvements appear after 7 to 10 days, the time it takes for the skin to naturally eliminate the fragmented pigments. The optimum effect is seen after 3 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. As each patient's skin is different, 2 sessions may be enough for some patients, while others may require 4 to 5 sessions to achieve the desired result.

Rejuvenation treatments such as Ulthera® or Fotona gradually stimulate collagen production. You will notice a smoothing and firming effect that intensifies for 3 to 6 months after the session (count on a single session for Ulthera(R) or 4 to 5 sessions for Fotona). These treatments can be complemented by injections of biostimulators (Sculptra or Radiesse) for an overall effect.

For acne with AviClear®, the reduction in sebum is also generally observed after 3 sessions, although some patients already notice it after just 1 session. The results are maintained over the long term, unlike drug treatments which require continuous use.

Laser hair removal generally requires 7 to 10 sessions to remove 70 to 90% of hair. A few touch-ups may be recommended each year, depending on the area.

The longevity of the results also depends on your lifestyle: daily sun protection and appropriate skin care optimise the longevity of the effects obtained.

Safety and side effects of laser treatment

Controlled, secure technology

All our medical equipment is certified and regularly checked. Our practitioners undergo continuous training to guarantee optimal treatment protocols and work under the supervision of doctors, in particular our dermatologist Dr. L. L. Polla. Each laser session is adapted to your skin phototype to avoid any risk of burning or hyperpigmentation.

Temporary side effects

Laser treatment may cause temporary undesirable effects:

  • Redness disappears in a few hours - maximum 48 hours - depending on the intensity of the treatment
  • Slight oedema Resorbs in 1 to 3 days
  • Feeling of warmth similar to a mild sunburn, fades rapidly
  • Desquamation fine for certain fractional lasers, for 3 to 5 days

These reactions reflect the activation of the skin's regeneration process. They are perfectly normal and do not require you to stop working.

Contraindications

Laser treatments are not recommended in cases of :

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Recent tan (less than 4 to 6 weeks)
  • Current photosensitising treatment (certain antibiotics, Roaccutane®)
  • Active skin infection in the area to be treated
  • History of keloid scars with certain lasers

During your consultation, we systematically check that there are no contraindications to guarantee your safety.

Post-treatment support

Our entire team remains available after each session to answer any questions you may have. In the event of any undesirable effects, you can contact us immediately, and our doctors are on hand to provide rigorous follow-up. The presence of a dermatologist also ensures not only safety but also optimal follow-up.

Frequently asked questions about laser treatments

Are laser treatments painful?

Recent technologies incorporate cooling systems to limit discomfort. However, the sensation varies according to the type of laser used and your own tolerance. Most patients describe moderate heat or mild tingling. For sensitive areas or more intensive treatments (such as Frax(R) or Genius(R)), we apply an anaesthetic cream to make the session more comfortable. You can always choose to have an anaesthetic cream applied, even for lighter treatments; this will be charged at 40CHF.

How many sessions are needed to see results?

The number of sessions depends on the treatment chosen and your objective. Treatment of spots or redness requires an average of 3 to 5 sessions. Laser hair removal generally requires 7 to 10 sessions, although you may need more, depending on your age. In the case of tattoo removal, it is very complicated to specify the number of sessions, as everything depends on the ink used and the reaction of your skin. Finally, other treatments such as Ulthera® require just one session a year, with a gradual effect over several months.

How long does social exclusion last after a session?

For the majority of our laser treatments, there is no social eviction. Slight redness may persist for a few hours, easily camouflaged with make-up. Only certain more intensive fractional lasers may require 2 to 3 days for recovery, with fine desquamation.

Can I combine several laser treatments?

Absolutely. We often recommend combined protocols to optimise results. For example, combining an anti-dark spot treatment with an overall rejuvenation session, or complementing hyaluronic acid injections with a laser treatment for a complete anti-ageing effect. Each treatment plan is tailored to your needs.

Are the results permanent?

Durability varies according to the treatment. Laser hair removal offers permanent hair reduction of 70 to 90%. Rejuvenation, anti-spot and anti-redness treatments require annual touch-ups to guarantee lasting results.

At what age can you start laser treatment?

There is no strict minimum age. Acne can be treated as early as adolescence with AviClear®. Anti-ageing treatments are generally recommended from the age of 30-35 as a preventive measure, or later to correct existing signs. We adapt each protocol to your age and objectives.

Do lasers work on all skin types?

Our latest-generation technologies effectively treat all phototypes, from the lightest to the darkest. Some devices, such as our hair-removal laser, are specifically designed to be able to treat dark skin as well, by adapting the laser wavelength (Nd:YAG) and parameters, while some treatments, such as the Genius(R), are not suitable for high phototypes.

What precautions should I take before and after a laser session?

Before : avoid tanning 6 weeks beforehand, stop using irritating products (retinol, acids) 7 days beforehand, report any medication you are taking. After : use moisturising and soothing skin care products recommended by our team, apply SPF 50+ sun protection as recommended by the team, avoid heat sources (sauna, hammam) for 48 hours.

Are laser treatments reimbursed by insurance?

Cosmetic laser treatments are not generally covered by basic health insurance in Switzerland. However, some supplementary insurances may offer partial coverage. We will be happy to provide you with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company if this is the case.

Can laser treatments be carried out in summer?

Generally speaking, lasers and the sun don't mix well, so these treatments are not suitable for the summer season, unless you don't expose yourself to the sun - or at least not the area to be treated, or in the case of certain treatments such as Ulthera(R), which are not contraindicated even if you have a tan.

Are there any risks of complications?

Laser-related complications include burns and temporary hyperpigmentation. This risk, although present, is minimised thanks to the proven expertise and experience of our team, and the use of the best lasers available - such as Lutronic's Clarity for hair removal or PicoSure for tattoo removal.

How do you choose between the different laser treatments on offer?

During your consultation, our laser expert will analyse your skin, listen to your concerns and recommend the most suitable treatment or treatments, taking into account your aesthetic goals, budget and constraints. This personalised approach ensures optimal results.
