Restore an even, radiant complexion
Laser rejuvenation beautifies, regenerates and rejuvenates the skin in just a few sessions. Thanks to its ultra-short pulses, the Picosecond laser eliminates the melanin responsible for brown spots without damaging the surrounding skin. PicoSure also erases fine lines on the cheeks, around the mouth and eyes, as well as skin irregularities caused by acne scars.
With each session, the skin on your face regains an even tone and a smoother texture. Picosecond laser technology means that the treatment is completely safe and does not involve any social exclusion.
What is anti-spot rejuvenation?
Anti-spot rejuvenation is an advanced medical treatment that lightens and eliminates pigmentation spots on the face, neck, décolleté and hands.
At Forever Institut, We use PicoSure picosecond laser technology, recognised for its effectiveness and safety in the treatment of pigmented lesions.
This laser rejuvenation treatment specifically targets the melanin responsible for brown spots. Using ultra-short pulses measured in picoseconds, the laser breaks up the pigments without damaging the surrounding skin. The melanin particles are then naturally eliminated by the body, leaving behind a more even skin tone.
Skin rejuvenation using picosecond lasers represents a major advance in the field of aesthetic medicine. Unlike traditional lasers, this technology can be used to remove brown spots on the face with minimal side-effects and no social exclusion. The diffuse redness associated with the treatment disappears shortly afterwards, allowing you to resume your activities without any delay.
Our almost 30 years of expertise in French-speaking Switzerland enables us to offer you a personalised treatment tailored to your skin type and specific needs. Whether you want to treat age spots, sun spots or melasma, our laser specialists will draw up a tailor-made protocol for optimum results.
Indications: for whom and why?
The different types of pigmentation spots treated
Laser rejuvenation treatment is indicated for several types of skin blemishes and imperfections:
Brown spots and solar lentigos: These pigmentation spots generally appear on sun-exposed areas such as the face, neckline and hands. They result from an accumulation of melanin due to repeated exposure to the sun.
Age spots : Also known as senile lentigos, these brown marks are linked to natural skin ageing. Anti-dark spot rejuvenation helps to significantly reduce them and restore a more youthful complexion.
Melasma (pregnancy mask) : This hormonal hyperpigmentation mainly affects women. Our Geneva features the PicoPro laser, the only FDA-certified laser specifically for the melasma treatment.
Pigment scars : Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, such as marks left by acne or other skin inflammations, can be effectively treated using picosecond technology.
Sun-damaged skin: The PicoSure laser treats UV damage by stimulating cell renewal and evening out skin tone.
Areas of the body that can be treated
Our skin rejuvenation treatment can be applied to different areas of the body:
- Full face
- Neck and décolleté
- Back of hands
- Body (arms, back and other affected areas)
Who can benefit from this aesthetic treatment?
This treatment is designed for people who want to improve the appearance of their skin and regain an even complexion. It is particularly suitable if you have visible pigmentation spots, signs of photoageing, superficial fine lines or slight acne scars.
During your initial consultation at our Geneva, Lausanne or Nyon, Our specialists will assess your skin and determine whether anti-spot rejuvenation is the treatment best suited to your needs.
Benefits
- Unified complexionPicoSure: by targeting melanin, PicoSure can be used to treat certain brown spots, pigment scars and sun-damaged skin.
- Reducing fine linesThe PicoSure and PicoPlus lasers stimulate the fibroblasts that induce collagen production. They therefore have a long-term effect on fine lines, and provide an overall, natural rejuvenation.
- Melasma (only available in Geneva) : We use the PicoPro laser, which is the only laser certified by the FDA specifically for the treatment of melasma, also known as "pregnancy mask", a condition that affects many women.
- Reduced risk of side effects: The use of very short picosecond pulses has been shown to reduce the incidence of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The PicoSure laser is therefore a very safe laser.
Results and duration
Visible and progressive results
The first effects of anti-dark spot rejuvenation are often visible from the very first session. A brightening of the complexion and an improvement in skin texture can be observed rapidly. However, definitive results on pigmentation spots generally appear after 2 to 3 sessions.
Full results are seen 4 to 6 weeks after the last session, the time needed for cell renewal and the elimination of fragmented pigments.
Recommended number of sessions
For optimum results, we recommend a protocol of 3 to 5 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. The exact number depends on the nature and intensity of the spots to be treated and the objectives set during the consultation.
Long-term benefits
As well as eliminating blemishes, PicoSure and PicoPlus laser treatment stimulates fibroblasts and induces collagen production. This results in an overall natural rejuvenation, with a reduction in fine lines and a lasting improvement in skin quality.
Safety and side effects
A safe and proven treatment
The picosecond laser technology used at Forever Institut offers an excellent safety profile. The use of ultra-short pulses considerably reduces the incidence of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, a side effect sometimes observed with traditional lasers.
The PicoSure laser is FDA-certified for the treatment of pigmented lesions and melasma, guaranteeing its effectiveness and safety. Our team of trained specialists ensures that the treatment is tailored to each skin type.
Possible side effects
Side effects are generally minor and temporary:
- Slight redness for 2 to 4 hours after the session
- Slight swelling may persist for a few hours
- Formation of small scabs on treated spots (10-15 days)

Course of treatment
Recommended number of sessions : 3 à 5
Session duration : 30 minutes
Interval between sessions : 3 weeks
Stage 1 - Consultation and personalised diagnosis
Before any treatment, a consultation enables us to analyse your skin and define your objectives. Our specialist will examine your pigmentation spots and draw up a personalised protocol. This stage is essential to ensure optimal results, tailored to your specific situation.
Stage 2 - Preparing the session
- On the day of the treatment, your face is carefully cleansed and make-up removed. You will be given protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the laser beam. The area to be treated is prepared to ensure maximum effectiveness of the laser treatment.
Stage 3 - Picosecond laser treatment
The laser specialist begins by treating localised spots if necessary. She then proceeds to a complete treatment of the area for overall rejuvenation. Several passes of the handpiece are made to cover the entire surface.
The sensation experienced is slightly uncomfortable, comparable to a slight tingling sensation or the effect of elastic bands on the skin, and a feeling of diffuse heat. The average session lasts 30 minutes.
Stage 4 - Post-treatment care
After the session, a slight redness similar to sunburn may appear and persist for 2 to 4 hours. If specific spots have been treated, small scabs may form and disappear in 10 to 15 days. Sunscreen SPF 50+ must be applied for 6 weeks.
