During a Nanofat treatment, your doctor administers a local anaesthetic and extracts a small amount (10 millilitres) of fat. The fat is then washed and passed through a series of increasingly narrow filters. This process produces the ‘Nanofat’, which is an emulsion with all the adipocytes (fat cells) removed, but which is ultra-rich in stem cells and growth factors; these cells are known as adipose-derived stem cells (ADSC).
Mesotherapy (a micro-injection technique) is then used to immediately inject this solution into the whole of the scalp. The first results can be seen after 3 to 6 months and the improvements last for more than 5 years.
This treatment requires an initial consultation which will enable your doctor to confirm the indication, as well as to analyse your hair and scalp using a Trichoscan device. This device also means that the results can be quantified in terms of the number of hair follicles, capillary density and the quality of the scalp tissue.
