At what age can you start laser hair removal?

The effectiveness of laser hair removal depends largely on hormonal stability. That's why we generally recommend starting treatment at around 25 years old. However, in the event of premature or embarrassing hair growthHowever, it is perfectly possible to start earlier, even for minors.

For young girls, it is best to wait until three years after the start of menstruation to guarantee longer-lasting results.

What are the advantages of starting earlier?

Although hair removal is not definitive until hormonal stabilisation, it does provide several weeks of serenityThe result is smooth, clean skin without the inconvenience of waxing or shaving.

So it's a real comfort for young people who suffer from excessive hair growth, particularly in visible areas.

What is the ideal frequency of sessions?

For best results, you should generally approximately 10-15 sessionsspread over several months. Regularity is essential, especially at the start of treatment. We recommend a 4 to 8 weeks apart between two sessions, depending on the areas treated.

Is laser hair removal possible in summer?

Yes, provided you haven't had an active tan for 6-8 weeks. It is important to tell your therapist about any outdoor activity (walking, sport, gardening, etc.).

In these cases, we prefer to use the Nd:YAG laser (1064nm)which is safer for discreetly tanned skin. It is sometimes slightly less effective, particularly on light-coloured hair, but allows you to maintain a regular rhythmThis is vital to avoid long interruptions.

A break of several months in the middle of treatment can compromise results and require more sessions in the end.
