A medical-aesthetic consultation with one of our specialists is necessary before starting a cryolipolysis treatment.

The therapist places the CoolSculpting™ applicator on the skin of the area to be treated. This suction-cup applicator sucks up the bulge and holds it between two cooling panels that will extract heat from the adipose tissue. Throughout the treatment, CoolSculpting™ maintains the temperature of the treated tissue at -10°C, the temperature proven to destroy adipocytes without damaging other tissue. The procedure takes most of the time 1 hour per area.

During the first few minutes of cooling, the patient feels intense pressure and cold, a sensation that disappears fairly quickly. During the session, you can read, listen to music, check your e-mails or even take a nap.

Immediately after cryolipolysis, localised redness and haematomas may sometimes appear. Over the following 3 to 5 days, patients may experience painful swelling, hardening and a temporary loss of sensitivity in the treated area. These effects may persist for several weeks. They are not systematic, and vary from one patient to another.

CoolSculpting® makes it possible to lose up to approximately 30% of fat in each session. For some patients, a single treatment is enough to achieve the desired objective, while others decide to repeat sessions to improve results. The best results are obtained by patients who take part in sporting activities and adopt a healthy diet.

The result is seen after about three months, the time it takes for the body to eliminate the destroyed fat cells. However, the body can continue to rid itself of fat cells for up to 4 to 6 months after treatment.
