What is Texas Face?

The term 'Texas Face' (sometimes also known as 'Texas Lift') was coined by a group of American beauty bloggers and has become a popular term on social networks. It corresponds to a new trend in medicine and cosmetic surgery: the "Texas Face". injections of hyaluronic acid and/or Radiesse to tighten the skin around the mandible, chin and neck. The aim is to restore or accentuate the angles which separate the neck from the lower face.

What does this have to do with Texas?

Texas is an American state with a very angular shape to its north, with clear right-angled borders with New Mexico and Oklahoma.

For whom and why?

The beauty of a face stands out best when the demarcation of the contour between the neck and chin is clearly defined. Or, over time, the chin recedes, the cheeks deepen and sag, and the jaw line recedes. If you look at the face in profile, you will notice that the angle formed between the chin and the neck has become rounder.
Another way to visualise the ageing of the face is by looking at the shape of the letters 'V' and 'A'. A young face is usually V-shaped, with prominent cheekbones and a thin, taut lower face. This is also known as the youth triangle. A face altered by age tends to take on an "A" shape (loss of volume towards the temples, formation of jowls, blurred contours, sagging double chin). The triangle becomes inverted.

The "Texas Face" injection technique is used to reshape the hollow areas of the face, especially the mandibular contour. This is how it works, Reverse the A into a V. This treatment is also very popular with young men and women who want to accentuate the demarcation between the face and neck, to enhance the beauty and character of their face.
