Hyaluronic acid is a sugar that is naturally present in the dermis that fills the space between the collagen and the elastin fibres. Over time, the skin’s cells progressively lose their ability to produce hyaluronic acid, which contributes to a loss of volume and accentuates the face’s lines and wrinkles.
At Forever Institut, we use hyaluronic acid from Merz, which contains an anaesthetic; this helps reduce discomfort as much as possible when the acid is injected. Its formula is non-allergenic and it requires no testing prior to use.

Good to know
Once it has been injected, the effects of hyaluronic acid last for between 9 and 18 months, after which it is gradually reabsorbed. In order to optimise the results, 15 to 30 days after the first treatment, a second session may be needed to make any adjustments that may be necessary.
Redness, some slight swelling and bruising, or small lumps can sometimes appear around the area that has been injected; these side effects are temporary and only last a few days.
There is an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid, meaning that any treatment is reversible should the client so desire or if it is necessary. This means that any imbalances that may arise can be corrected.
