Hyaluronic acid injections fill in lines and wrinkles, plump up the lips, restore volume to the cheekbones and redraw the contours of the face.

About the treatment

Hyaluronic acid is a sugar that is naturally present in the dermis that fills the space between the collagen and the elastin fibres. Over time, the skin’s cells progressively lose their ability to produce hyaluronic acid, which contributes to a loss of volume and accentuates the face’s lines and wrinkles.

At Forever Institut, we use hyaluronic acid from Merz, which contains an anaesthetic; this helps reduce discomfort as much as possible when the acid is injected. Its formula is non-allergenic and it requires no testing prior to use.

Advantages

Thanks to its hydrophilic properties, hyaluronic acid attracts water, meaning it helps to add volume and moisture to the skin.

Hyaluronic acid injections:

  • Correct the nasolabial folds (the lines between the nose and the mouth)
  • Fill in “marionette lines” (and other wrinkles around the lips)
  • Increase the volume of the lips, boost their colour, and lift the sagging corners of the mouth
  • Redefine the contours of face
  • Lift the cheekbones
  • Restore lost volume to the cheeks and temples
  • Fill crow’s feet and the lines between the eyebrows
  • Correct the rings under the eyes
  • Improve an uneven nose
  • Correct a receding chin
  • Erase acne scars
  • Smoothe and rejuvenate the backs of the hands

Benefits

Hyaluronic acid restores symmetry, harmony and freshness of your face, returns its youthful volume, smoothes the surface of your skin and enhances your mouth. Moreover, hyaluronic acid deeply hydrates and improves the physiology and health of your skin.

Result after one session of dermal fillers; hyaluronic acid was injected in the lower 2/3rds of the face (temples, under-eye, cheeks, oval of face, chin)

Good to know

Once it has been injected, the effects of hyaluronic acid last for between 9 and 18 months, after which it is gradually reabsorbed. In order to optimise the results, 15 to 30 days after the first treatment, a second session may be needed to make any adjustments that may be necessary.

Redness, some slight swelling and bruising, or small lumps can sometimes appear around the area that has been injected; these side effects are temporary and only last a few days.

There is an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid, meaning that any treatment is reversible should the client so desire or if it is necessary. This means that any imbalances that may arise can be corrected.
