PRP regenerates and rejuvenates delicate areas of the skin such as eye contour, the neck and the backs of the hands.

Plasmatherapy – or PRP – is a technique that involves injecting autologous plasma that has been enriched with platelets and growth factors. Once it has been reinjected under the skin of the donor patient, the PRP speeds up the healing process by stimulating the production of collagen, revascularisation and tissue repair. Consequently, PRP progressively increases the skin’s thickness and vitality. Because of these regenerative effects, PRP was initially used in reconstructive surgery and in sports medicine. More recently, it is in aesthetic medicine that the technique has been used with great success.

The procedure involves taking a blood sample that is immediately put into a centrifuge to extract the enriched plasma. The doctor then injects this plasma into the areas being treated using mesotherapy.

Good to know
