Laser hair removal
A historic area of expertise, the Forever Laser Institut was the first specialist to use this technique in Geneva from 1995. The Forever Laser Institut has great experience and perfect understanding of this safe, efficient, fast and practically pain-free method (use of anaesthetic cream). Lasers allow for long-term hair removal, following a variable number of sessions, depending on the pilosity and area requiring treatment. We recommend an average of 5 to 7 sessions every 6 to 8 weeks.
The light emitted by the laser is absorbed by the melanin, a brown pigment that gives the hair its colour. The concentrated energy coagulates both the hair and its follicle, which normally activate the hair growth. A number of sessions are needed since only the hairs in their growing phase react to the treatment.
Electrical hair removal
Results are permanent but a number of sessions are required, depending on the surface of skin needing treatment. Electrical hair removal takes over from laser hair removal when the pilosity is very sparse, at the end of laser treatment as well as in certain areas or for specific types of hair.
The technique introduces a fine needle along every hair to its root. A very low electrical current is sufficient to destroy the hair's root by thermo-coagulation and to stop it growing back.
Wax hair removal
Hair is trapped in warm wax and pulled out without the root, thus growing back in the space of approximately 3 weeks.
