Hair micrografting

Autologous hair implant by micro-surgery

About the treatment

Hair loss and baldness is a serious issue for a large part of the population. Micrografting is a surgical technique that allows very natural cosmetic results, with hair implants that do not fall out. This technique is adapted to both adult men and women, and uses the patient’s own hair to graft bald areas.

Hair micrografting is a surgical procedure that is carried out at Forever Institut and lasts between 4 to 8 hours, depending on the technique used: the stip method (FUE) or the follicular unit transplant (FUT) method. The procedure is not painful, as it is carried out under local anaesthetic.

Surgical treatment of alopecia offers a distinct advantage: a quick, natural-looking result that lasts.

Whilst scalp surgery is the most common hair micrografting, this technique also offers a solution for other parts of the body that have lost hair. The beard, moustache, eyebrows, eyelashes and the pubic area may all be reinvigorated by micrografting.

Patients who opt for hair micrografting have regained their self-confidence. Hair is a key characteristic of beauty. Virility, strength and sensuality are also qualities that can be boosted with a full head of hair.

Good to know

After some hair falling out in the 10-20 days following the procedure, it grows back in between four to six months. The final result will be assessed between eight months and a year after the operation.
