What is it ?

Developed and tested over the last 8 years in the USA, ePrime™ was commercialised in 2011. This medical device uses bi-polar radiofrequency in a fractional way. ePrime™ is composed of series of micro-needles that penetrate the skin in a 20 degree angle and act as electrodes to conduct the energy directly into the deep dermis without heating up the epidermis. This controlled fractional injury stimulates the synthesis of new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. This unique approach creates fractionated zones of thermal injury where it will have the greatest impact, resulting in the foundation of new and dense dermal volume.

what is the procedure ?

During the first consultation, the therapist examines the skin and its degree of laxity to determine if there is an indication for ePrime, and then selects the appropriate parameters. Pictures will be taken for patient records. The actual treatment lasts around 2½ hours and requires local anaesthesia. The device allows to precisely control the temperature reached in the dermis. Therefore the results are consistent, predictable and reproducible.

What can be treated ?

Sagging skin, wrinkles such as nasolabial folds, loss of elasticity and the definition of facial contours. Suited for all skin types, but especially recommended as of 40 years old.

Results ?

Although skin tightening can be observed 3 weeks after the ePrime treatment, the desired lifting and volumising effect is definitive 3 to 6 months following the procedure; it is the time required to reactivate and regenerate the tissues.

Side effects ?

Redness, swelling, bruising, texture irregularities, hyperpigmentation and  a feeling of numbness may occur. All these side effects are temporary.
