Pulsed infrared (Titan)

Titan ® is a skin tightening device for the face and body.

What is it ?

Titan ® is a medical device that emits pulsed infrared light. The rays delivered penetrate the dermis 4mm deep, where they are absorbed by the water present in its tissues. The heat energy created will cause collagen fibres to contract, with an immediate tightening effect on the skin. Repeated Titan ® treatments lead to an increase in the production of new collagen, an essential component of healthy and toned skin. At Forever Laser Institut, we use Titan ® from the company Cutera.

What is the procedure ?

The therapist examines the patient’s skin to determine a personalised treatment plan and evaluate the number of sessions required. During the treatment session, patients cover their eyes with special glasses. To avoid heat damage on the surface of the skin, the Titan ®  hand piece has an integrated cooling-device. (The length of a treatment varies according to the number and size of treated areas). A Titan ® face treatment lasts about 1 hour.

Results ?

Titan ®  treats skin laxity caused by natural ageing and excessive sun exposure. After 1 session: immediate tightening effect. After several sessions: slight lifting effect of lower face and eyebrows. The skin progressively gains in tone, firmness and density. Lines and wrinkles are less visible.

Number of sessions ?

2 to 3 Titan ® treatments with 6 weeks interval. A follow-up session is recommended every 6 months to maintain results.

Side effects ?

Slight redness and swelling may appear immediately after a Titan ®  treatment, but will disappear in a few hours.
