What is it ?
Botulinum toxin type A (Botox®) is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. When injected, Botox ® induces muscular relaxation in the targeted areas. What is the procedure ?
The doctor carries out a detailed examination of the patient's facial anatomy and muscle tone before injecting botulinium toxin (Botox®) in the pre-determined points. The procedure lasts about 30 minutes and 2 weeks afterwards, a follow-up appointment is recommended.
