During a wrap, the therapist applies essential oils on the patient's body; these oils are occluded by covering the body with plastic film, then a heat blanket. Thank to the heat, the pores dilate and the stratum corneum is humidified. The active ingredients then penetrate much easier into the superficial layer of the epidermis to produce their specific action. In parallel, the heat leads to increased perspiration and therefore better evacuation of toxins. This heat + active principles combination fights against cellulite and can have an effect on orange peel skin.
