Wart

The papilloma virus causes warts. It develops in the most superficial layers of the skin where it can generate a proliferation of abnormal cells. An excrescence then forms: this is the wart. It is then covered in a stratum corneum and very superficial cells that form a fine protective film. Warts on the hands and feet are generally not serious, but are contagious.
