Telangiecstasia corresponds to the permanent dilation of small capillary vessels, arterioles or venules. Telangiecstasia draws small red or purple lines on the skin a few millimetres to a few centimetres long. Telangiecstasia can reproduce the appearance of a radial network or a spider's web. Telangiecstasia on the face can develop into rosacea when the dilated vessel looses its elasticity. The redness then becomes permanent. Telangiecstasia on the legs take the form of very fine red lines.
