Melasma

Also known as chloasma. Alteration of the skin's pigmentation that can appear during pregnancy, whilst taking the pill, or sometimes even without any obvious cause. Melasma is most frequently located on the face, neck, or forearms. The sun is a necessary factor in the development of melasma, hence the importance of protecting yourself from its rays.
