The products used in medium peels are relatively aggressive and can reach the inter-papillary dermis. The medium peel gives very good results even if a little painful afterwards (burning sensations) and sometimes accompanied by oedemas. The medium peel is efficient on fine lines and its effect is longer lasting than a soft peel. However, there is a risk of side effects, in particular post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
