Propensity for some people to blush very violently. Face redness or facial erythrosis is generated by emotion, a strong variation in temperature or after having eaten spicy foods or drunk strong alcohol. The redness is caused by an important dilation of the very small veins on the face. Apart from the ungainly and socially-embarrassing aspect, the risk of facal erythrosis is to see these veins remain permanently dilated, thus turning into rosacea. Erythrosic follicular keratosis is distinguished by rough, red cheeks, and appears in adolescence. As with any other forms of redness, it can best be treated with pulsed dye lasers (Vbeam Perfecta).
