Elasticity

Elastin

Structural protein that ensures the elasticity of all tissues and organs in the body. They are mainly found in the walls of arteries, lungs, intestines and the dermis. Works in tandem with collagen: whereas collagen gives tissues tonicity, elastane gives it elasticity.
