Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion consists in sanding the epidermis and superficial dermis of the facial skin. Dermabrasion is recommended to smooth scars and deep wrinkles around the lips. It is used to restructure collagen by increasing its quality and quantity. Today, dermabrasion has been abandoned for resurfacing using fractionated lasers. Nevertheless, micro-dermabrasion is still practiced when the treatment remains very superficial and only touches the epidermis.
