Natural hyaluronic acid that is identical to ours can be produced via bacterial fermentation and injected into the skin to replace what we have lost. To enable prolonged results once injected, the hyaluronic acid molecules attach to one another. They thus form a cross-linked network that protects them from proteolytic enzymes. This cross-linked hyaluronic acid is ideal for correcting wrinkles, folds, volume (in particular loss of lip volume) as well as boosting the activity of fibroblasts in our ageing skin and improving hydration.
