Café au lait spots correspond to an over-activity of melanin pigment in the epidermis. Café au lait spots turn beige to brown, are flat, generally round, of variable size and can be located on any part of the body. Café au lait spots can be treated with lasers, but only if the treatment is carried out at a young age. Once adulthood is reached, they cannot be removed.
